About us
We research farmed animal regulations in the Global South to develop strategies that close legal gaps, strengthen enforcement, and improve compliance. Focusing on countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia, we use a unique administrative approach to turn legal protections into real change—addressing the systemic failures that leave farmed animals unprotected. In parallel, we work directly with farms to raise welfare standards and support the transition toward a more ethical and responsible farming system.
Campaigns
We run specific campaigns according to the reality and needs of each country in which we seek to intervene. At the moment, we are running our first campaign for farm animals in Chile.
Every day, millions of animals in Chile’s industrial farms suffer in silence—confined, neglected, and abused, often in violation of the law. Our investigations have uncovered a system of cruelty hidden from the public and ignored by authorities. At Animal Law Focus, we are demanding action: the closure of the worst facilities, stronger enforcement of animal welfare laws, and true accountability from the industry.
Our Strategy
Animal Law Focus uses a legal-first strategy to dismantle systemic animal cruelty in industrial farming across the Global South. We prioritise administrative enforcement to close non-compliant facilities, push for regulatory reforms, and strengthen inspection systems in collaboration with public authorities. At the same time, we work directly with companies to assess compliance, raise welfare standards, and encourage shifts towards ethical and plant-based models. Through strategic litigation, public campaigns, and cross-regional partnerships, we aim to make animal exploitation not only unacceptable — but legally unsustainable.
